Corporate fish and chip catering in West Studdal

About our corporate fish and chip catering in West Studdal

We keep the menu short so a lunch break is enough: fish, sausages, pies and chips, with the classic sides. Typical bookings include retirement and leaving lunches and charity days, serving pie and chips, cod and chips and haddock and chips.

At country workplaces around West Studdal, a chip van brings a hot lunch to wherever the team is. Let us know about tracks and gates. We cook inside the van, right where your staff are, and the food reaches them hot and crisp.

How it works

On the day, we park up on the agreed spot, set up and heat the fryers. Once we are hot, we cook to order, timed around your staff event. After-work summer events in West Studdal have daylight until about 9:15pm in late June and 7:00pm in late September; for winter events, dark by about 3:50pm, we need lighting.

  1. Start with three things: the date, the place and a rough headcount.
  2. A photo of the parking spot helps us check the van will fit.
  3. Closer to the day, we confirm the arrival time and serving time.
  4. The van rolls up, the hatch opens and the fryers get going for your staff.
  5. Once the last portion is out, we pack up and go.

Before we arrive

  • Pick a flat, firm place for the van to park
  • Arrange somewhere dry for the queue
  • Get permission for the van from the venue

Is a fish and chip van right for your staff event?

Ordering takeaway for a whole site is slow and the food arrives cold. A van fries on the spot. Got a budget? Let us know, and we’ll suggest a menu and timing to match. A short menu is often the best value.

Why book our van in West Studdal

  • The queue at the hatch gets people talking
  • Works on wet days as well as sunny ones
  • A menu almost everyone likes
  • Bookings across Kent, including West Studdal

Take a look at how we price and our guide to van hire costs.

Cannot we just order from the chip shop?

Ordering from a local shop? Call ahead and collect at the last minute. For anything more than a handful of people, a van is generally the easier option.

For a small group, making your own food can work. For larger numbers, or when you want hot food, a van takes the pressure off, and nobody has to miss the staff event.

Allergies and dietary needs

Tell us about dietary needs and allergies early, and we’ll tell you honestly what we can offer. To make it work smoothly:

  • Give us break and shift times
  • Check the site’s requirements for caterers
  • A pre-order helps with numbers and allergies
  • Plan an alternative for anyone we cannot cater for

We get there ahead of the lunch break, so service starts on time.

Tell the team in advance: it’s half the fun.

Your questions about a fish and chip van for your team in West Studdal

Is West Studdal close to London?

Roughly 64 miles from the centre of London.

Can you serve near the sea around West Studdal?

Yes, of course. Wind does not affect the fryers, but plan a sheltered spot for the queue.

Do we need to provide equipment?

Everything is cooked in the van. Let us know what’s available at the site and we’ll confirm what we need.

What if the weather’s bad?

We cook inside the van, so rain does not stop us. Staff will appreciate cover near the hatch.

What about staff who don’t eat fish?

There is: sausage and chips or pie and chips. Tell us roughly how many to expect.

Do you fry it on site?

Yes, always. Everything is fried fresh in the van, then handed over hot from the hatch.

Can the van park on the street?

Only in a legal space, or with the council’s permission. Check with your council first.

Can you serve children?

Children are very welcome. Tell us how many children, and we’ll include them in the plan.

How we price a fish and chip van for your team

Every booking is priced individually, and the price depends on a few things:

  • The menu and how many choices
  • How far we travel
  • How easy the site is to reach
  • The minimum booking

A chip van frequently compares well with a plated meal, as there is no kitchen to hire and nothing to wash up. We’ll send you a quote.

What we need to know

The more we know about your staff event, the better we can plan. Try to include:

  • Rough numbers for adults and children
  • A picture of the parking spot
  • The date and when you’d like to eat
  • How to get in: gates, lanes and ground

Getting a quote is simple: tell us the date, place, numbers and serving time. We will come back with a clear quote.

For planners, venues and organisers

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can hold the date.

For big groups, the service window matters, so we can plan how to keep the queue short. Staggering groups helps a lot.
