Fresh fish and chips in Boyden Gate

Corporate fish and chip catering in Boyden Gate, cooked to order

A Fish Friday treat, an end-of-project lunch or a summer team day, the van makes the day feel special. For open days and customer events and team away days, we will put together a menu of cod and chips, pie and chips and mushy peas.

Near Boyden Gate, workplaces can be far from shops, which makes a chip van a real treat. We bring the van and everything we need to cook, and we leave the pitch tidy when we go.

Diets, allergies and planning

Dietary needs are easiest to plan with some notice. Our advice:

  • Consider a pre-order list
  • Find out what documents the site needs
  • Ask facilities about access
  • Collect allergies in advance

We get there ahead of the lunch break, so we are ready when the first group comes out.

A simple pre-order helps us plan.

Why choose a fish and chip van in Boyden Gate?

A big takeaway order arrives late and lukewarm. A van fries on the spot. Got a budget? Let us know, and we will suggest how to make it work. A short menu is frequently the best value.

Why Boyden Gate hosts choose us

  • Fish and chips fried fresh on site
  • No kitchen, no crockery, no washing up
  • Cod, haddock, sausages and pies
  • Hot food handed straight over

Take a look at how we price and what a fish and chip van costs.

What comes out of the fryer

Gravy

Gravy brings a bit of warmth to the meal, especially in winter.

Sausage and chips

Sausage and chips covers anyone who doesn’t want fish, and children love it.

Step by step

The first sign we’ve arrived is usually the smell, about the time the first staff wander across. From then on, people come up as they’re ready. After-work summer events in Boyden Gate have daylight until about 9:15pm in late June and 7:00pm in late September; for winter events, dark by about 3:50pm, we need lighting.

  1. Start with three things: the date, the place and a rough headcount.
  2. Show us where the van would go, and we’ll confirm it works.
  3. A week or so before, we confirm timings and numbers.
  4. The van rolls up, the hatch opens and the fryers get going for your staff.
  5. Last portion served, we tidy up and head off.

Before we arrive

  • Tell us when you want to eat
  • Leave room in front of the hatch for a queue
  • Arrange somewhere dry for the queue

Planning the van’s spot

Plenty of places work for the van, but a few things matter:

  • A spot near your staff
  • Space for people to queue at the hatch
  • A level hardstanding, drive or firm lawn

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we will advise.

From the hatch

  • Sausage and chips
  • Cod and chips
  • Haddock and chips
  • Staff lunches
  • Pie and chips
  • Mushy peas

Takeaway run or book a van?

Some hosts try a takeaway order. The problem is timing: big orders take a long time, and the food is cooling while it travels. A van cooks in front of your staff instead.

For a small group, making your own food can work. For bigger numbers, a van makes life easier, and you get to enjoy the day.

How we price a fish and chip van for your team

We’ll give you a clear quote. The main things that affect it are:

  • Travel, tolls and road charges
  • The number of meals
  • Parking and the way in

Distance and any road charges make a difference, so tell us exactly where your staff event is.

Questions from Boyden Gate

Is Boyden Gate too small for a chip van?

Not at all. We serve villages and hamlets as well as towns. Let us know about access and parking.

Could you trade in Grove Ferry Picnic Area?

Only if the landowner, normally the council, allows it. Check with them first.

What areas do you cover?

We cover London and the South East, including Kent. See all areas.

What about staff who don’t eat fish?

We serve sausages and pies as well as fish. Let us know about any other dietary needs and we will tell you what we can offer.

What if we only have street parking?

Only in a legal space, or with the council’s permission. Check with your council first.

What does the van need?

Not much: a hard surface or firm, dry grass, that the van can reach easily. Send us a picture if you are not sure.

Do you clear up afterwards?

We clear the van’s area after service. Let us know about bins for staff.

Is everything cooked fresh?

Yes. The fryers are in the van, so food is cooked there and then, not cooked earlier and kept warm.

  • Fried fresh to order in the van at your event
  • Cod, haddock and chips, sausages and pies
  • The van comes to you: homes, venues, workplaces and fields
