Fish and chip van hire for Way events
Cannot we just order from the chip shop?
Not sure whether to order in or book a van? Consider your numbers and how fresh you want it. Ask us for a quote and compare.
You could do a chip-shop run for everyone yourself, but it rarely works for a crowd. By the time you’ve queued, paid and driven back, the batter has gone soft. A van fries it right there, so it’s crisp.
Fish and chip van hire in Way, cooked to order
Because the cooking is in the van, the weather does not stop us. That makes it a safe bet for British events. On the menu are haddock and chips, mushy peas and sausage and chips, and we’re often booked for festive get-togethers and wakes and celebrations of life.
Somewhere like Way, a yard or firm field often works. Gates, verges and soft ground are worth mentioning when you enquire. We serve from the hatch, so it’s hot and generous, and the queue keeps moving.

Haddock and chips
Haddock has loyal fans: a firmer flake and a sweeter taste. Tell us if you’d like to offer it.
Gravy
In the north and the Midlands, gravy is the side of choice, and it is lovely with a pie.

Bringing the van to Way
Way is about 3 miles west of Ramsgate, in Kent. Across the CT12 area, we can fry fresh for your guests. We serve all 922 towns and villages in Kent. Our bookings stretch from Way to Canterbury (12 miles away).
If you’re gathering after a service at a church like Church of Saint Mary the Virgin, a nearby hall car park or drive suits the van. Coming by train? The nearest station is Minster station, about 0.9 miles south-west. Way is within about 4 miles of the sea, so fish and chips feels right at home here. Sea breezes can be strong, so we think about where the queue will stand.
We cover events in every part of the CT12 postcode area and the streets around it. Streets in the area include Wayborough Hill and Way Hill, and the van can serve an event on any of them with a suitable parking spot. Neighbouring places where we serve events include Mount Pleasant (1 mile north-west), Sevenscore (1 mile south-east), Minster (1 mile west), Acol (1 mile north-west) and Cliffs End (2 miles south-east). Larger places within reach include Canterbury (12 miles west), Margate (4 miles north-east), Dover (14 miles south), Ramsgate (3 miles east), Broadstairs (5 miles east) and Whitstable (13 miles west).
Other landmarks nearby include Westwood Cross (3.1 miles north-east) and Ramsgate General Hospital (3.5 miles east). Green spaces nearby include Sandwich and Pegwell Bay.

The process
Rain doesn’t stop the fryers, because the cooking happens inside the van. Guests will still appreciate a bit of cover near the hatch. In Way, the sun sets at about 9:15pm in late June and about 7:00pm in late September, so summer evening events are generally served in daylight. In December it is dark by about 3:50pm, so winter events need lighting by the van.
- Get in touch with the basics: when, where and roughly how many.
- A picture of the parking spot helps us check the van will fit.
- Closer to the day, we confirm the arrival time and serving time.
- We park, open the hatch and start frying for your guests.
- Once the last portion is out, we pack up and go.
