Corporate fish and chip catering for your staff event in London
We park in your car park, yard or forecourt, so nobody has to leave site. We serve haddock and chips, sausage and chips and cod and chips, and we are regularly asked to cater retirement and leaving lunches and staff appreciation days.
Workplaces in London range from offices to depots. We need a level spot and the site’s agreement. We bring the van and everything we need to cook, and we leave the pitch tidy when we go.

Why fried-to-order beats a buffet
With a barbecue, somebody ends up at the grill. With a van, nobody from the team has to cook. Most vans have a minimum charge, since getting the van there costs the same however many eat. We’ll tell you up front.

London: your questions answered
Can the van park in Newington Gardens?
Only with permission from the park’s owner, generally the council. Check with them first.
What’s the nearest station to London?
Elephant & Castle station, in London itself.
What happens if it rains?
Rain doesn’t stop the fryers: the cooking is inside the van. It is worth planning some cover for the queue.
How do you handle allergies?
Tell us about allergies when you book, and we will tell you what’s in each item and what we can offer.
How much space do you need?
A level, firm spot it can drive onto, close to where people will eat, and space for a queue. Mention any narrow gates or soft ground.
Can you go on a lawn or field?
It depends on the ground. Tell us about it when you enquire, and send a picture if you can.
Do you have a kids’ option?
Of course. Children normally love sausage and chips. Tell us how many are coming.
Can you serve each shift?
Give us the break times and we’ll serve in waves.
How it works
It is a relaxed, well-organised set-up. Arrival and serving times are agreed beforehand, park on the agreed spot, and get on with frying and serving. In London, a summer staff event stays light until about 9:20pm; for winter events, dark by about 3:55pm, we need lighting.
- First, tell us about your staff event.
- You get an availability check and a clear quote.
- We agree timings, access and the parking spot.
- We cook to order on the day for your staff.
- Everything goes out hot from the hatch, and we pack up afterwards.
Preparing for the day
- Have a level parking spot ready
- Confirm the van is allowed on site
- Clear the route for the van
Getting a price
Every quote is worked out for your event. Start with your date, and we’ll confirm whether we’re available that day.

How we price a fish and chip van for your team
There is nothing hidden: the price is based on:
- Access and parking
- Whether a minimum applies
- The date and time of year
- How many people are eating
Got a budget? Let us know, and we’ll suggest how to make it work. A short menu is often the best value.
What to tell us
You do not need every detail fixed to get a quote, but it helps to know:
- Allergies and diets you know about
- Roughly how many people, including children
- Anything awkward about the way in
- The venue or postcode
Send us the date, the address or CR0 postcode and rough numbers, plus when you’d like to eat, and we’ll reply with a quote. Just use our quote form.
Organising for someone else?
If you are booking for a business, tell us how you’d like to handle the booking and payment, and we’ll explain how it works. We are happy to liaise with facilities on parking and timings.
Many venues set rules for catering vans: parking spots, arrival times and documents. Tell us what your venue needs and we will work through them with you.
Diets, allergies and planning
Tell us about dietary needs and allergies early, and we will be straight with you about what’s possible. To get it right:
- Confirm allergies by email
- Plan an alternative for anyone we can’t cater for
- Give us break and shift times
- Check with facilities where the van can park
After the last group, we pack up.
Tell the team in advance: it’s half the fun.

London for staff days and team lunches
London is in Greater London. For a staff event in London, the van can park on drives, in car parks and yards, and on firm lawns and fields in and around London. We serve 764 places across Greater London, from the larger towns to small villages.
Historic houses near London include Mansion House (1 mile north) and Dr Johnson's House (1.2 miles north-west). For a client event at a historic house, ask early about rules for catering vans. Teams travelling in by rail can use the station: there is a station right in London: Elephant & Castle station.
We take the van to staff events all over the CR0, E14, CR4 and SW11 postcode area. Your staff event could be at a house on Walcot Square, Surrey Square and Sutherland Square or the roads around them, as long as there’s somewhere for the van. London is on the A2 and A10, so it is easy for us to reach with the van. If your venue is just outside London, we also cover Walworth (1 mile south), Bermondsey (1 mile east), Camberwell (2 miles south), South Bermondsey (2 miles south-east) and Surrey Canal (2 miles south-east). Takeaway run or book a van?
You could do a chip-shop run for everyone yourself, but it rarely works for a crowd. By the time you’ve queued, paid and driven back, the batter has gone soft. With a van, it is fried on the spot.
Deep-frying for lots of people at home is risky: hot oil and a busy party are a bad combination. Leave the frying to a van built for it.
- Fried fresh to order in the van at your event
- Cod, haddock and chips, sausages and pies
- The van comes to you: homes, venues, workplaces and fields
- Served at the time you choose, from the hatch
