Wedding fish and chip van for your wedding in Feltham

Evening guests may have come straight from work, while day guests last ate in the afternoon. Fresh fish and chips suits everyone. We’re often asked to cater rustic farm weddings and wedding after-parties, serving sausage and chips, mushy peas and curry sauce.

For a wedding in Feltham, think about where a catering van can stop. Ask your venue about a loading bay or yard, which is ideal for the van. Everything we need comes with the van, and we pack up and leave the spot as we found it.

Feltham: your questions answered

Can the van park in Hounslow Heath?

Only with permission from the park’s owner, usually the council. Ask them first, and tell us what they say.

What’s the nearest station to Feltham?

Feltham station, in Feltham itself.

When do you arrive?

We get there in good time to set up. Timings are agreed in advance.

Can you serve children?

Children are very welcome. Tell us how many children, and we’ll include them in the plan.

When should we book?

Early, particularly for summer Saturdays and Christmas party Fridays. Ask about your date even if it’s soon.

How much does a fish and chip van for your wedding cost in Feltham?

Every booking is quoted individually, based on your numbers and timings. Tell us your date and rough numbers and we will reply with a price.

Where will the van go at our venue?

That’s up to your venue, but close to the party is best. Send us a picture of the spot.

What time will you serve?

Whenever suits your day. Most couples go for just after the first dance.

The menu, dish by dish

Curry sauce

Curry sauce divides opinion, so we bring it along.

Pie and chips

For a heartier option, there’s pie and chips, perfect with gravy.

Why fried-to-order beats a buffet

Hog roasts are a wedding favourite, but it is one dish, and some guests don’t eat pork. A chip van offers fish, sausages and pies. If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we’ll suggest a menu and timing to match. A short menu is often the best value.

Why us?

  • Nothing for you to cook or clear
  • A menu almost everyone likes
  • The classic sides: peas, curry sauce and gravy
  • Everything cooked to order at your event

See our prices page or the cost guide.

Should I sort the food myself?

Ordering in from a local chip shop is an option. The problem is timing: big orders take a long time, and the food is cooling while it travels. A van solves that by cooking on site.

For a small group, making your own food can work. For bigger numbers, a van makes life easier, and nobody has to miss the wedding.

Planning the van’s spot

We’ll be honest if a spot will not work, and suggest an alternative. What matters most:

  • Permission from the venue or landowner for the van
  • A level hardstanding, drive or firm lawn
  • A spot near your guests

Feltham is in London, within the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking can be tight: tell us about driveways, yards, car parks or a council parking suspension.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we will advise before booking.

From the hatch

  • Mushy peas
  • Cod and chips
  • Evening fish and chips
  • Haddock and chips
  • Sausage and chips
  • Curry sauce

Organising for someone else?

Many venues set rules for catering vans: where a van can park, access times and the paperwork they want. Tell us what your venue needs and we will work through them with you.

If you’re planning an event on someone’s behalf, whether you’re a planner, a facilities manager or an organiser, we are happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It saves passing messages back and forth.

What happens on the day

You do not need to do much on the day: show us the spot, tell us when to start, and enjoy your wedding. We handle the cooking and serving. For a summer wedding in Feltham, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, which means evening fish and chips is often served in daylight in June and July. For autumn and winter weddings, when it is dark by about 3:55pm in December, plan lighting by the van.

  1. Start with three things: the date, the place and a rough headcount.
  2. Show us where the van would go, and we’ll confirm it works.
  3. Closer to the day, we confirm the arrival time and serving time.
  4. We park, open the hatch and start frying for your guests.
  5. Last portion served, we tidy up and head off.
